About Kitui-Rural Constituency

The Constituencies Development Fund (CDF) was established through an Act of the Kenyan Parliament in the Year 2003 and in the year 2015 the whole Act was repealed giving birth to the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) Act. The Fund is distributed to each of the 290 Parliamentary Constituencies’ for the purposes of development and in particular the fight against poverty at Constituency level.
The fund is allocated a minimum of 2.5% of all Government ordinary Revenue collected in every financial year for distribution by the NG-NG-CDF Board to each of the 290 Constituencies Equally.
